Our Philosophy

Jump Start Kids located in Aotearoa,New Zealand. This vision implies a society that recognise Māori asTangataWhenua, assumes a shared obligation for protecting Māori language and culture. To get the success,our teachers (Kaiako) will work in partnership with parents/ Whanau

Our philosophy is based on the partnership. We believe in ongoing respectful reciprocal partnership between Teacher and Parents/Whanau to build a strong foundation for our Tamariki. We acknowledge our children as capable, competent, confident learners and communicators and help them to grow holistically, Kotahitanga.

We follow the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum “Te Whariki” as our guide to empower children for their journey. Today, New Zealand children are growing up in a diverse society that comprises people from a wide variety of cultures and ethnicities.“Te Whariki” also specifically acknowledges the educational aspiration of Pasifika peoples. We support children from all backgrounds to grow up strong in identity, language and culture.

We also create flexible learning environment based on children’s interests and purposeful play. We value on literacy, mathematics, science, technology and the art. We will also foster physical development, social skills and self-help skills to make them confident and competent. To achieve these,our teaching staff will be dedicated professionals who will continue to develop and reflect their own practice.

We strongly believe in the importance of ‘Listening’ to the children and parents/Whanau, and each child is special who deserves respect and need to be listened to.
